Exhaust Question

:
2005, mazda 6
Hi guys, I'm new to the forums and I'm looking to do some small mods to my mazda6. Its a 2005 hatch back with 3.0L V6, I did a search and found that magnaflow is the only one that offers a aftermarket cat-back. I would like to know if anyone has ever used flowmasters on thier cars? If so which series did you use and what size piping? I don't want the car to sound like a rice rocket, I hate that high pitch tone some people go for. I'm into old school muscle cars, and this is my first car of this type. So i'm looking for a deeper tone, I know this is a small v6 and i'll never get the same tone from it like my mustang. This is a new learning curve for me, jumping into a different type of sport car in sorts.

thank you

you wont get a ricey sound from the v6. itll be low.

racing beat makes an axle back i think, but you can always buy mufflers, and have a exhaust shop do custom piping for you.

before i totalled my 6, i was planning on doing 2 3/4 inch piping, with tanabe mufflers.

NCZ13 where are you located? I know on my Ranger and Explorer which both had the 4.0L SOHC, duals sounded good. I just want a little more bark too go along with the nice bite this car has. I don't really want a cat-back since i'm not running a SC or a Turbo, so I want to try to keep as much backpressure as I can so I don't lose lowend tq. Unless I can find a good deal on a nice system. All I have around my area are midas and etc... Most shops wouldn't even touch my stang. So i've done alot of driveway installs, I wish i had a lift. (cool) (evil)
