Exhaust Leak

Pretty much ever since I got my new car, there has been this rattling sound coming from outside, especially when the engine is cold. My brother in law heard it today and told me its and exhaust leak. Has anybody else ran into this? I'm going to take it back to the dealer for warranty work and I have already recorded it when they decide to tell me "couldn't duplicate problem." Also, my auto lift-gate went today (will come down but not seal shut)...kind of frustrating that I've had more problems with my 2012 than I had the whole time I owned my 2009.

I'm getting a new exhaust, the dealer stated that a baffle went loose which was making the sound I heard. I'm also getting a new closing part for the tailgate since that broke as well. Glad everything is under warranty...now debating whether to get the extended warranty, I had it on my 2009 and never used it. I think any more problems and I might consider it.

I wouldn't say this if I didn't have to, but you better get the extended warranty. That is the only thing that is saving me now. The dealer is still working on my car for a water pump replacement. I was told that someone else had to pay out of pocket and that it was about 2 grand for that replacement.

Here is the funny thing, I purchased the extended warranty on my '09 and never used it. Car did not have any problems. But now, the 2012 is already having issues, which the 2012 was the last model year prior to the remodel, so you would expect the car to be perfect as they should have worked though all the problems already.

You kept the 2009 for about 3 to 4 years, am i right? I have my 9 for over 6 years and have a little over 65k miles. This shouldn't happen with this low a mileage. The tech told me this is the 3rd replacment he has done. And that the mileage on the other 2 was about the same 65 or a little more.
