Ate whatever I wanted, only exercise was walking to class.

Eat less, excercise less....I need to do something but I'm too damn lazy. I'm a computer geek...going to the gym just isn't my scene if you know what I mean...jelly bean.
Ok, I'll stop with the rhyming...I used to Mountain Bike all through HS, but when my bike got stolen at College I lost interest.
Damn, that's a lot of weight you lost. I have lost 20lbs since January. I am a total gym rat though. I moved to Texas and stopped going to the gym for like a year and balooned to right at 200lbs. I am only 5'5" also.I've lost about 17 more pounds to bring the total to 35 lost. I'm at a solid 160 now and have been since the end of May.
That's not fat at all for that height. That's actually very skinny. A normal weight for anything 6' and up would be 200lbs or more. If I were you I'd eat more and lift light weights at least 3 days a week.Year later: 179lbs 6'3"
Yep. The hardest part is the first 3 weeks. That's when you get VERY sore from the workout. But after that, it's all down hill and it gets easier and easier. Then, if you are like me, you get totally addicted to the gym. If I don't go 6 days a week, I feel like a lazy piece of s***. Seriously. I love the gym though, it's different for everyone. Some love it, some hate it.Getting started exercising, I think; is the hardest part. But once you get going; you wonder why you didn't start earlier.

The best way I can tell is that I can eat anything I want now. But I still don't do that. I always watch what I eat now. But my weakness is Hooters hot wings, and I indulge in those about 2 or 3 times a month. But everything else is either chicken breast or fish. I try not to eat red meat unless it's a steak at a restaurant. NO GROUND BEEF UNLESS IT'S THE 96% LEAN! Ground beef is the devil!
But yeah, like AGR said, I sleep like a dead man now and I have TONS of energy.
I went to one last year. I had tickets on the finish line this year but I couldn't go. I tried to sell the tickets, no onw wanted them. Then I tried to give them away, no one wanted them! Idiots!Have you ever gotten over to Texas Motor Speedway for the IRL race?

Now I'm back down to a SOLID 180lbs, my bench press has gone back to 225lbs 10 times with a one rep max of 295lbs. My best bench is 300lbs and I weighed 150lbs. That was like 5 years ago though.
I have gained all my size in my arms back. I think they are at 18" again. I've always had huge arms though. My friends in the army used to call me several names, popeye, mighty mouse, and of course Big Ben for a play on my height.
My goals for body weight are to get down to 160lbs. I hope to be there by December. The slower you lose the weight, the easier it is to keep it off. So don't try to go on a crash diet and lose tons of weight fast. You will most likely lose the habit of the diet and gain it back.
My goals for bench is 300lbs again, Squat is 315lbs 10 times.
