Low and behold, I've got a Probe (same chasis/motor as MX-6, same motor series as MX-3 V-6) and a Titanium MSP now.

Frozen, it's an RX-7 FC. Flooding is what they do best. Actually, it could be a blown motor for all I know. :shrug: But from what my girlfriend says when she turns it over it sounds flooded.

The EVO8 is an awesome car, I test drove one before the Girlfriend bought this. It handles great, the power is there, all you have to do is push harder. I loved it, actually thought about trading my truck in on one. (For about 3 seconds) I want one bad still.

The WRX didn't impress me one bit. The clutch on the one I drove was F***ed up, it had like 200 miles on it. The guys was like, "You feel that power?" What power......

I like this MSP, it's got some cool stuff on it that I like. The wheels, the stereo (Hey it's better then most factory), it's got some decent handling. I think with a better exhust, CAI, Boost controller, hard pipes, and a FMIC it will be fine.

WRX isn't the lowest on the totem pole. 2.5RS is. The WRX is overrated to me anyways. Rather have the msp over the wrx even though it is a little faster.

There ARE different model EVOs over there. I believe they have the RS & the GSR.

Also, how can you compare the WRX to the Protege as the base model. The only similarity is that the STi will trash the MSP about as bad as the WRX will trash the Protege.

They are all factory modified, but not in the same class.

Were there only Evolution model Lancers in Japan? That's one thing I never have known. If not, I'm sure they were better than that pile of crap we got.

STI WRX's and Evo Lancers are total bad ace cars, the MS Protege is not when in compared. The Lancer OZ Edition would be more suited to be in the MS Protege class than the Evo. (laugh) (well, more so with the Protege MP3 than MS Protege.)

If Mazda threw another 10k onto the price, made it AWD, and done a LOT more upgrading... then it'd be up there along with them.

Would the MSP get a little more love if the MP3 where never to have came out? Then the speed would be very exeptional over base in every category. I like my speed a lot. It is what it is, and for the money you cant beat the all around package that you get. I see what the thread starter was getting to. It could be considered a factory hot rod over base type platform.

Sure you can, it's called a Dodge Neon SRT-4. (that's gonna stike a nerve with some people on here (laugh)) Sorry, I have a non-biased opinion with cars and only speak what I find to be the truth.


Yes, we all love our MSPs and we got them over other cars for a reason.

srt-4 is an engine only car, have u seen the interior? o ya last night at moroso it was like a dodge meet, was about 12 srt-4's and they were all running low 15's/high 14's just thought id throw that out there

ALL of them drive like s***...Out of 12 SRTs, it's hard for me to believe that not one hit low 14s. They all can't be that bad in driving.

I have 3 friends with them and all of them run mid-low 14s all night long.


Drivers' vary...Heck, the fastest I've ever seen any MSP run at a track was 15.6 and I know they are faster than that.

lol...that's funny. Just the opposite here. Most of the SRT owners in my area a mostly middle-age men. Most 26 and older. I meet a owner that was nearly 50...lol
