exactly. i think she was thinking someone would say: "i have an extra engine lying around, i can be at your place this weekend to install it. don't worry about paying, i feel for you."

I wonder what they'll do in Extreme Makeover: Car Edition... You know what, that's easier to do, the Discovery channel should do something like that... they can probably got sponors like Craftman, AutoZone, PepBoys and stuff Rebuilt the motor, pimp out the ride, and give them coupon for unlimited oil-changes... I wouldn't mind watching that show

As far as the insurance, they don't care if the car is drivable or not. Until it is paid off, you have to keep insurance on it (Yah know, just in case we decide to push it off a cliff and they would be out the car and the money) Sucks like that. We had been wanting to drop the stupid full coverage insurance.

No you don't... as long as the vehicle is in off street storage insurance can be reduced to "other than collision/comprehensive" only. You do NOT need to carry liability, and in only rare circumstances do you need to carry "collision" This should cut your bill by about half.
