I just destroyed my car...i'm physically fine but that car meant a lot to me. The engine and drivetrain is in perfect shape. Contact me if you haven't found something else yet. jlyncher@gmail.com

She hasn't been back.

Sorry to hear about your car, I'd be pretty upset if either of my Proteges got wrecked.

$25K for a new P5 - seems high.

I caught only the first page and all I could think was BS.

350 for car and insurance? bad credit score but could finance a car for dirt cheap rates?

I can't believe this has gone on for 7 pages.

BTW...my car was stickered at 22k with options and it wasn't fully fully opted. But did get it for 19 out the door after taxes etc. Not all of us got cloth and manual as the only options.

Ok, why you are being such a jerk is beyond me.

My husband, as I mentioned, has a VERY good job and I had one also until my boss CANNED ME the day after I told him I was pregnant. You try finding a damned job when your pregnant...oh wait, you're probably a MAN you wouldn't understand that.

We got into debt before my husband got the job he;s in now. We moved in with my mother so we could start paying off debt instead of paying high rent (which, unfortunately, is a fact of life in my area)

Yes, I am a stay at home mom. If, by some miracle we found a SAFE daycare that was even REMOTELY affordable, AND if I could find a job that would PAY enough to put two children (a 28 month old and a 6 month old) in daycare full time (about $400 a WEEK in this area) then, yes...I WOULD go back to work. If you want to help me pay for daycare, BE MY GUEST!

As far as the insurance, they don't care if the car is drivable or not. Until it is paid off, you have to keep insurance on it (Yah know, just in case we decide to push it off a cliff and they would be out the car and the money) Sucks like that. We had been wanting to drop the stupid full coverage insurance.

I really don't appreciate anyone making us out to be some kind of spendaholics. Yes, we made bad choice early one.... but unlike most people who b**** about money, we DON'T have a cell phone, or iPods or club memberships, or tons of stereo equipment, or expensive clothes (well, out KIDS do...not us) We don't go out and see movies or eat at restaraunts every night, or go out buying CD's or gadgets. We are, instead, living with my mother (which is NO picnic, believe me.) and paying off debt like mad. Unfortunately, while it seems like we're paying off alot of money... if we don't pay them our life would be a living hell.... we just can;t scrape together $2000 at once. Hell, after bills, groceries and diapers (oh... and GAS) there isn't much left at the end of the month.

As for my "fast and furious" brother, he happens to be VERY skilled. He has switched engines out before (when he was living in Arkansas and had access to the tools) He has done all of his own engine work and most of his own body work, so please don't talk like he's some punk teen. He used to ...i guess the word would be "flip" (maybe?) cars...buy them wrecked, fix them up ,pimp them out, and then resell them. He knows what he's doing.

I came in here asking for advice and all I got was a bunch of people basically calling me a lazy, compulsive spender. I thought, since this board had so many enthusiasts that I might get some advice. To those of you who gave me that advice, thank you so much.

To the rest of you, I'm outta here.

I think your whole story is BS anyways.

The first thing about living differently than the way you grew up is changing what you know.

Your whole story doesn't make sense. Which pregenancy did you lose your job? Did you get pregnant a second time AFTER the loss of the job? In that case...your own sexual selfishness gave that to you. Poor people having kids they can;t afford seems to be the way of life. BTW, I believe it is against the law to be "fired" due to pregnancy. Even at an "at will employment", I think the pregnancy falls under medical which is against the law to be fired for. It's called descrimination.

Your ignorance and the way your write makes it seem like you aren't even out of highschool.

Also...even at 10$ an hour, paying 350 a month on car and insurance is a picnic. But then again, 350 is damn cheap for both.

Get the f**k out of here with your BS. Hope you had fun. Tell your mom I said hi.
