I just installed new motor mounts with the medieval mounts and now when I'm driving the engine whines. It sounds like it is From the transmission. Anybody else have this?
I did not put engine mounts on my protege, however it appears the my car makes a whining noise only when I'm moving, if I'm in neutral the engine sounds fine, it sounds, farty, whiny, more past 2000 rpm,I pumped he tires up, put in fuel injector cleaner, gas line cleaners, checked all fluids but it still makes this noise!!
I was told that, in my case, the stiffer trans mount transmits the higher vibrations so that is why you can hear it. I'm not sure why your whines? Maybe try changing the transmission fluid to a synthetic?
