Engine swap

Mazda Protege LX 2003
Hi,
While driving 70 mph at night, my serpentine belt went out on my '03 Protege LX automatic 2.0, 4 cylinder. I slowly lost power due to the alternator not being charged and the water pump stopped pumping thus I overheated. I've taken my car around to a few shops and they all tell me to dump the car as the engine spews when the key is turned or I can pay them $1700 to fix it. I replaced the belt already. 3 of the cylinders have no compression and one has 25%. I've decided with the help of family mechanic(s) to get a used engine to replace the warped one. Best price I've found so far is about $600 which I'll have to remove myself. Is there a guide or book or anything that gives a step-by-step process to doing this swap (Haynes manual?), seeing as I've never done it before. Don't go telling me to hire someone as that isn't an option due to financial hardship. I absolutely have to do this repair myself over the next week(s) or so. Any advice, tutorials or steps would be much appreciated so I don't take missteps. Thanks!
