Dumb Question I can bring my car to the dealer with an aftermarket motor mount and they will put it in for the price of one hours labor?

Depends on the dealer. The book says it is a one hour job. Get them to give you an estimate in writing. Mine gave me an estimate then called me before they started the work saying it would be more. We settled somewhere in the middle, but only because I pulled the old "but you gave me this estimate and I had to take the day off work..." stuff.

Hey man, is that the Outlaw Engineering thermal spacer on your head there? Where did you get that black gasket sitting behind it. It looks less flimsy than those stupid blue paper ones. I have the OE spacer also, but I think I need new gaskets.

Have you tried RTV? Works pretty well for me.

GL with the new block Erik.

You mean tht silicone gasket maker stuff? That is what I have on my car now, a small amount on each side of the spacer, but I think I have had a vacuum leak since I first installed it. I had the paper gaskets first but both of them were torn during my installation, and I had a MASSIVE vacuum leak. Maybe I just didn't put enough of the sealant on, but everyone was saying, you just need a leeeeetle bit.

The gasket came with the OE spacer. Although I am going to need to find a replacement gasket now I guess.

I didn't use a gasket, just RTV and have 0 leaks as far as I can see. I did use a lot though.

Yeah, I don't have a gasket either, after I tore the crappy paper ones, they were removed. I just have the thermal spacer, which gives twice as many chances for vacuum leakage. IM to spacer junction, then spacer to head junction.

I really don't want to remove my damn IM again, god that was a huge PITA. Took me basically an entire weekend.
