engine probs?

i was driving to work today and all of a sudden my engine lights comes on and then my car just cuts off. i still have power and my radio is still playing. so i ask all of you what you think it may be. thanks to all who reads this.(argh)

get it towed to the dealer, especially if you are still under warranty. have them pull the code and fix the problem.

could be the battery, even thoguh you have pwoer a bad battery can cuase the car to act funny, ie make the window go up and down by themsevles guages go whacko etc.

do you have a regular key or the keyless ignition? did you try using the manual key.

dead battery..your radio may still work but there is not enough amp/cranking power to run the car.

Sounds like one of your plugs may have fouled up.

I highly doubt it's a battery..When the car is running the battery isn't really used b/c of the alternator running off the motor. If anything..it's charging it.

How many miles on the car?

87740 milage. and i found out today that its some sensor in the cam shaft. the part wont be in till thursday.

Prolly would have gotten to it eventually if given some more info, like it just cranks and cranks but does turn over, there is fuel pressure but still no spark, after testing coils we would have evntually figured out the camsensor.

These mazda motors are solid.

I think the trans is the weak link when it comes to Mazda.
