Hello,
I was driving my 2006 Mazda6 today and when I got out I smelt gas.. I looked around and under the car and I didn't see any so I drive away. Then when I stopped again I noticed the check engine light was on. I immediately pulled out the manual and it mentioned a few possible causes. The last one was to check the gas cap, sure enough it was not on properly. I am assuming this is why I smelt gas and why the engine light went on. If this is the case when would the light shut off, I was told by a friend who had the same issue and it took a few days before the sensor reset.
Thanks in advance for the advice!
Jackie
