engine get's "STUCK" at 3500 rpm's

I have a fmic, boost gauge, tt, and thats it I am set up w/ turbosmart recirc bov. on the belt way after 30 mins of driving in 5th my car will not go above 3500 rpm's and I can almost watch the fuel gauge decrease. The car stutters and jumps till I let off, then down shift and creep past 3500 I don't know whats going on ! any thoughts?
 
Your car is just like mine. When I use to have a MSP it was so bad it WOULD NOT get past 3500 RPMS. I was about to kill myself.
 
Noo that doesnt sound right. You should be able to go over 3500 RPM without that much of an issue. Diagnose. Maybe try swithching back to stock BPV.
 
i get the same thing only in 3rd gear mostly. if i shift too early from the 2nd, and it ends up about 3500 rpms in third, it seems like the car is not accelerating anymore and bucks.....my a/f gauge goes lean for a sec as well. i hate it....
 
no problems like that whatsoever in my stock unflashed msp....I can be at 1k in 5th and accelerate to redline with minimal "bucking" though there is a slight decrease in power between 3-3.5k. Did the car act like that stock or only after you modded?
 
Man that sounds bad my car has never really ran poorly, post flash or pre flash all at 12PSI for the most part. Chalk this up to the day laborer dock workers Mazda hired to assemble our turbo kits (laugh)
 
this is what happened to me at protege fest..... wheel hopped so bad one of my ic pipes came off.... wouldnt go above 3k rpm (when turbo spools).


Recheck all the couplers on your hard pipes and fmic..... recheck all vaccum hoses.... if you have a bov thats recirc, check the fitting.

Sounds like the exact symptoms of having something disconnected in the FMIC/Intake area. Turbo tries to spool.... bogs.... nothing over 3500.... downshift and get above it (turbo needs not spool) slow down a bit and try to pick back up speed and boggs again.

Check your pipes, hesitation is not going to be that bad man. You're losing vacuum or something. Check your pipes connections, make sure they're not loose or cracked. Check the vac lines after that.
 
Thanks I will look into it, it's so annoying, but I am still owning integra's.....
Why do they all think they can beat my msp ? stupid honda's
 
my friends has a teg and he's the same way.........but don't sleep on them they can be made quick....sad thing is I had a girl prove it to me. She had a black grill on the bottom part of her bumper to replace the stock one. No kit no thing. She also had a boost gauge hidding in her stock gauge cluster, and the grill kept me from seeing her intercooler. You can use your imagination from there. It was cool though, we stopped at a gas station and she still liked the speed better. :)
 
ok ok no leaks what so ever....... uggh I was kind of hoping I would find something, what else could it be ? I am going to reset the ECU again..........

i have been having this almost exact same problem but i notice something else. i can get it past 3.5krpms but it doesnt want to. like 1st gear i can take it up to 6k no problem what so ever. 2nd gear it hits 3.5, feels im riding the breaks, but then picks up again around 5.5k rpms. same with 3rd and 4th and 5th. but heres what confuses the hell out of me. it doesnt do it all of the time. like if it did this consistantly i wouldnt be AS upset, because i know there is proably a simple reason. but like sometimes my 2nd and 3rd just blast me off like a rocket, other times it does the whole bogging down thing.
