Engine build up

What, like upgraded rods and pistons? Some people have done it, check out the *************** or ****************.org

Yea, i have seen alot of bolt on's but stuff like cams, head work, built motors, built drivelines...stuff like that

Im guessing helping people is an infraction. :-)

There is no cams for our car.

You could build the bottom end with upgraded forged piston and rods.
You could port and polished the head but thats useless with a stock k04 turbo.

The market is small for aftermarket internals on our car. Just mostly boltons and thats really it. Research the web.

Make sure you tune the car if your adding boltons. Tuning options are offered by Cobb AP and CP-e Standback.

And always monitor knock, boost and afr using gauges. (best bet is a dashhawk or using the cobb ap to monitor)

You can probably give a call to Protegegarage, I'm sure they'll be more than happy to help you find what you need

Protegegarage is only going to sell him stuff. Research is your friend, within this website or "other" websites. It all depends on what you want to do with the car.

If your looking for 400whp or more, get another car. 300 to 350 is a much easier goal to accomplish.

PM me if you need more information

I dont even have one, i just think it would be fun to have a ms6 with a reliable 400-450, requiring a pretty serious combo. This is more of just research for me, once i get mine it will say stock for a long while.

I like cars with small aftermarkets, easier to be unique. :)

A few people have built their engines, got big turbos, and then only made about 320-380whp, then threw in the towel and sold their cars. The DISI motor hasnt been around long enough to make good power, hard to tune it, a lot of qwerks. The highest horsepower guy on the forums I know of has the regular 3 instead of a speed3/6. Whoosh was highest speed 6 at what 389 whp? it was just under 400... Sad considering my automatic 00 firebird made 380 with just a cam, bolt ons, and a tune.

Well I havent been tooo happy with my speed 6 i will tell you its a great used car for the money. ive seen nice examples sell for around $12,000-$13,000 with like 40,000 miles I paid $19,000 before the economy went to crap. I wish the car was smaller, lighter, and easier to tune.
