Encouragement

I've had my 08 for about 15 months now, 11k miles, putting new tires on it as we speak, no other replacements or fixes. Problem free.

I'm starting to wonder if the reason I'm not getting nearly as many miles out of my stock tires as pretty much everyone else is because of the roads around here. Most of the ones near my house are tar and chip, so perhaps they wear the rubber quicker. Other than that, I'm clueless, because everyone else seems to get closer to 20k+ on theirs, and I'm pretty damn sure that while I do drive it somewhat aggressively, I don't drive it nearly as hard on the tires as some of the people getting twice that mileage.

I was thinking along the same lines. Shure driving style has a lot to do, but there are a lot of different surfaces out there, some very abrasive, others very slick. I'm on 12K Mi on my tires and at the last rotation the fronts are in good shape(regarding tread depth and rubber appearance), the (current) rears....have less thread in them, not coincidentally when those were at the front I went on a long canyon run through a road that was no older than 3 months in serveral parts, so it was still pretty abrasive I'm shure.

46k and no problems. Not stock either. Was only stock for about 5000 miles until the first MSCAIs came out....downhill since then.

I don't drive mine like a dickhead... but I don't baby it either. Let's just say I'm usually the first one off the light :D. 7500 miles and the last few thousand have been modded. The car doesn't complain at all when you drive it hard. It eats it up! Not a fragile car at all and is one hell of a performer.
