Emergency Brake Handle options?

Great find. Might go that route instead. I was thinking of doing the MOMO CF handle & boot, but I was looking at ~$120 all told. This and a Redline e-brake boot would be cheaper.

Won't know just yet. I have an adapter on order that needs to get in first. I tried this morning to remove the stock handle, but it'll take a wee bit more effort than I was willing to commit at 6:30 am. I'll have pics and impressions once it's on.

I experimented with taking the stock one off before and it seemed to be unpossible task. I know it's not...but hope it goes smoothly for you.

Install went pretty well. The hardest part was taking off the stock handle. I removed the cupholder section of the center console, then used a small flathead to lift the rubber "boot" from the four clips on the handle. Then I grabbed the handle with God's grip and pushed towards the dash. Eventually with enough force the retention clips let go, and I set the stock handle and boot aside to expose the brake mechanism frame.

Since MOMO doesn't make an adapter specific to the 3/MS3, I had to take their Miata adapter and wittle away on the inside just enough to fit over the release button. The MOMO handle slides over the adapter, which secures it near the button, and the base is mounted with set screws. New boot went over that and that's that.

Overall, I'm very pleased with the fit and feel. Sure it's fake CF, but it ties together well with my AutoExe knob and Redline shift boot/armrest pad. The MOMO handle is far beefier than stock and is the perfect size for my paws.

Excuse the super crappy nighttime Blackberry pics, but these should suffice for now:

I love you and your cf ebrake Kain :)

You know I was nearly about to make a thread about my stock handbrake button rattling when cruising. Unbelievable at 12,000 miles that all this rattling occur.

What was the damage$$$ for brake / adapter Kain?

I got mine handle/adaptor for around $60...you have the exact same setup as me now except mine is in the P5...

I got the whole set up slightly used for ~$90, that includes the handle, boot and adapter. So far it's been worth it. The stock handle just felt wimpy in comparison.
