Emanage = the suck

Im kinda glad that its still did it with the fmu......glad I let u borrow my wideband...lol

That means the emanage was doing its job and doing it well for 4 months until we touched something and the FM signal modifier took a dump.

You cannnot even imagine how pissed I was when it would not work. I was soooo pissed yesterday.....It just stopped working.

Well I am glad it was something simple and not the emanage.

I will be posting maps tommorow
These maps are good for a stage 3 t3 at 8 psi
They worked for 4 months and yesterday until we fuked with the ecu...then it all went to hell

We have also learned something new:
in order for the emanage to work you will need the FM o2 modifier

yes i think thats it. I might try that on the bolts, that might hold them in there.
even hi-temp loctite will not survive your turbo's temps... try some silver anti-sieze, and torque the **** out of them.

lol...What exaclty is this FM thing? a few resistors or something? Has to be something you could solder together for less than 5 bucks at radio shack...

it is a boost activated switch, and some resistors.... The switch would be the most expensive part.

Terry why do you need a FM o2 modifier to use the emanage if the unit is
controlling the fuel itself, i dont understand?

Its been discussed 34082304983204832904820384320984 times before, the protege ecu pulls fuel when you try to add it before open loop. Even some people with the mpi tuner are using it to keep the ecu from pulling out fuel.

(lol)

The O2 signal modifier is by far the easiest way to get around closed loop operation when in boost. So, just about everyone is using this or something like it, so that when they go into boost, they "fake" the 02 signal so that the car does not pull any fuel.

With my car even after i re-installed my voltage clamp the ECU still continued to pull some fuel. This really puzzled me because i never had any issues when running my FMU.. Maybe my voltage clamp is bad as well.

Assuming your boost switch is still good, it seems a pretty simple fix to put some new resistors in, assuming that is what went bad.

Before you and terry started messing with the emange, you took some rides with the WB and your fuel was dead on. correct??

You got that right that and bigger injectors are all I am waiting on.

yea the afr's were dead on. but whatever the protege is back on an fmu now, and driving easy, some of you know whats going to happen next.

Yup before we messed with anything a/f's were dead on.....rock solid.....damn we shoulda left the car alone...lol

good luck guys, ill be keeping an eye on this thread. I want this to work so bad, I would hate to have to spend $900 on a standalone.

No wAy bra.....man, get the 2 wheel drives n da frnot. AWD is the ghey!! eVo=blow!!

FWDDD for EVAR!!
