ELEmental goes N/A!

Sorry for the lack in replies on my part. My new apartment doesnt have internet so I am relying on using it at school and my parents house. Food is more important than internet to my wife apparently???.

Anyways, most of everyones questions got answered by others. Thanks Patrick, Rich and the others.

I forgot to mention that I also have a UR pulley. The header that I have is the one that was test fitted in the group buy thread and determined to be impossible to get to work on our engines. I dont have the option of buying a new one so this is the one I will be using. I didnt buy mine from the group buy, I bought it directly from the manufacturer a few months ago. The EGR doesnt fit but that is being bypassed anyways, I am going to cap off the bung on the header and not even connect the pipe to the EGR. I have a few EGR bypass plates made up that others locally have been testing out too. I am having to modify the thermostat housing quite a bit in order to get it to fit properly but that should all be fine now that it is figured out.

I will try to get some pictures althought most of the engine is already put together already. I didnt think to take pictures of the process of putting it back together.

so you're the guy the local dealer was talking about! you were looking for some different thermostat housing/elbow to make your headers fit... good luck with that!

I have a genuine mazdaspeed 4-2-1 headers that I can sell to you if you want... used but very low miles on it... it is in excellent condition... no clearance issues and the EGR pipe fits!

I ran into a snag with another CV boot being busted. That part should be here on wednesday and after that all I need to do is fill fluids and start it up.

I will get pics in a bit. Its a little hard to get them from the camera to my laptop and edit them now that my PC has no internet access.

Edwin, PM me with a price or call me. no AIM for me anymore.

I did crank the engine and let it run for a second the other day to make sure it was all good. I do not have the thermostat housing fully modified just yet but it should get back from the machine shop today. I had to locate an exhaust flange gasket that nobody stocked. I am going to end up modifying a flange a bit to get it to fit perfectly.

I have been taking pictures along the way but still need to get it on this laptop to post. I think Moeed will help me get a recording of this engine on saturday for people to hear.

I recently got married and that took over my engine and turbo fund.
Congrates is in order man.. way to go!!
it's been a while for me to.. i haven't been on here either.

I have had pictures taken for a while now but I havent had Photoshop and a computer with internet at the same time. I took some pictures of stuff I am selling on here that I will post up tomorrow hopefully.

The car is down again. I need to change both main seals this time and I pulled the wiring harness out. I just found a burnt shorted out wire that had melted to a few other wires in the harness. That seems to be the issue with my starting problems. I am taking the stock ECU out completley and just running the Haltech straight now.

You married the wrong woman. Hopefully she doesnt feel the same way about cars too.

She mentioned wanting to get internet soon.. I was just kidding. She likes my car and lets me work on it, she even got me fuzzy dice... all I need now is a "FRESH" license plate...

married...congratulations! Is it running yet? I heard it was crazy fast...-while sitting on Rich's engine stand-lol...j/j
