Hi I have a 2017 Mazda CX5, which has a fault with the EPB.
I noticed that my brake pads were wearing unevenly so decided to change them, after removing the the right caliper I realised that the car wasn't in service mode, so I tried to reinitiate. Unfortunately, as the right caliper wasn't attached to the brake disc this led to the EPB actuator driving the piston out of the caliper.
I managed to reassemble the caliper and got the car back on the road, however since then I have been experiencing a yellow fault light on the dash every time I apply the EPB (the fault light will disappear when I remove the EPB whilst driving).
Ive plugged the car into the OBD2 reader and the following DTCs are logged;
C2005 07 - 48 Mechanical problem of electric parking brake motor gear unit (RH)
C2006 07 - 48 Mechanical problem of electric parking brake motor gear unit (LH)
C112A - Actuator disengage
To try and resolve the issue, I have followed the Mazda247 forum advice and I have performed the following ;
Is this something that anyone could help me to resolve? Im wondering if the car needs a hard reset of all parameters and reprogrammed?
Thanks
Wes

To try and resolve the issue, I have followed the Mazda247 forum advice and I have performed the following ;
- Replaced both rear brake calipers
- Fitted a new actuator which i've also tried swapping between sides
- Cleared DTC fault codes
- Disconnected battery for 30mins
- Replaced battery with new one
- Cycled service mode many many times, including pumping brake to seat pads
- Taken the car to Mazda garage to recalibrate
Is this something that anyone could help me to resolve? Im wondering if the car needs a hard reset of all parameters and reprogrammed?
Thanks
