Sportline's

Hey man I just put my sportline's on tonight and they rock, The handleing is really good, and man it look awesome being that low. I will eventually have to get camber plates for the back though cause they come stalk with a high camber in the back for performance, but now it will need it. I was worried also but it will pay off.

Good luck,

Ok guys...so here's 1 for ya.....I plan on getting coilovers when they come out...is it worth it to spend the $$$ on springs???? And this may be ignorant but can you/ is it worth it to..use the springs with the coilovers???

Coilovers come with springs. That's why they're called coilovers.
There is a coil spring surrounding the strut cartridge that is adjustable for height and preload.
Most coilovers have damping adjustments, too.

Thanks for the info, I guess I'll have to wait then....BTW any coliovers out yet for the 3? On japanparts.com they show some mazdaspeed ones, but almost 2k...thats a little much no???

I too would rather have coilovers than simply get the springs. I live in New England and I'd either need to stay off the road in the snow or be able to raise my car back up.

Question: A camber kit was mentioned, although is there any necessary adjustments that should be made to the car if lowering springs are applied?

Mazdaspeed has them out for 2k...I think too much, do they do anything that the TEINS dont do, or is it that much b/c of the mazdaspeed???

Tein has superstreet coilovers coming out real soon. ALready priced on the website for $1400....

PS-they are also offering a system that allows you to control some suspension tuning from the inside of the car, which seems like a great idea...only about $375.....anybody know about these??? The way they explain it is that they put a small motor on the coilover and wire it to the controls in the drivers seat...with this you can fully adjust the damping force(16levels of rebound & compression)...also they can put different springs depending on what you want...any recommendations?? I'm really not sure about which spring rates to use......help?

I've got some questions about eibach prokit

I have a 04 maz3i 4dr w/18" kmc sr5 with 215/40/18 nitto neogen and I need to know if the prokit would be a good way to go. And if there is a camber kit needed. Or should I go with the sportlines. And do the struts need to be changed.

thanks

The Eibachs are progressive springs which will give you a good quality ride and handling. The H&R are not progresive so you will get better handing but at the expence of a firmer ride. It is firm but very comfortable. I am happy with mine.

Can these springs be installed yourself or do you need to take the car to a shop to have them installed?

The rears are super easy and can be done with some basic hand tools.

If you've ever changed out MacPherson struts before, the fronts are easy, too.

If you're all thumbs when it comes to fixing things, then you should probably leave it to the professionals. If you have some mechanical ability, then you could probably do it yourself.

Once the car is lowered, you'll need to get the toe reset. Front caster and camber will be ok. Rear camber will drop from -1 to about -3 but there's no adjustment so you have to either wait for a camber kit (which will give you about +1) or modify your suspension to get it back where it belongs. I chose to modify my suspension.

Just an FYI guys , I am a new Eibach dealer.

Also I have had eibachs on 3 cars ive owned and have nothing but good things to say about them.
I also have a set of evotion springs in stock that ill sell for 150 shipped in the lower 48

Looks good.. But where do you attach the stabilizer bar?
See pic..

Read the disclaimer.

Still... that's a lot of money. I could buy two Glocks for that price. :)

I dont understand, first you said the caster and camber is ok, then you said you'll have to "wait for a camber kit?" Is negative (-1) camber when the wheels (from the rear view) go out to the left at the bottom? Or is it the opposite? And why the hell does the toe get messed up when you lower your car?? Sorry man, I've never lowered a car before...please inform me more clearly. (bow)

Read more carefully.

Front caster and camber will be ok. Rear camber will drop from -1 to about -3...

Negative camber is when the top of your tires tip in toward the middle of the car. /---\
Positive camber is the opposite \---/

Your toe is affected because you are changing the angle of the tie rod ends when at a neutral load position.

It does. It also wears out your tires a LOT faster.

Are you going to race your Mazda3 or are you going to drive it back and forth to work every day?
