[font=Arial, sans-serif]A world premiere will be the display of the Pontiac Solstice in a hardtop version. The American sports convertible comes from the factory with a cloth top which disappears under a flap in the back when retracted. The EDAG designers have designed a special hardtop, including a new boot flap, for the Solstice which not only puts a solid roof over the drivers head, but also gives the car a completely new appearance. Inspired by the Pontiac Safari station wagons of the 1950s and 1960s, the EDAG designers have come up with a dynamic, elegant and contemporary variant of a sports estate.[/font]

And before that, MG did it in the 60's, cannot find pic of that though. And with the last Solstice thread, it is still fugly.

Car & Driver had an article on these with a Chevy LS2 V-8 stuffed in it with about 400 hp. Can also get a Z06 motor as well. (boom07) I'd pimp it!

Again, Pontiac has not really come up with a new original vehicle to be proud of in a while. unless you think the Aztek is not a friggin ugly as the rest of the world does.

Are you referring to the entire pontiac line? They all look alike to me too. (deadhorse (GM's styling team)(deadhorse ...must...not...make...modern styling cars...(grand prix, G6, GTO etc...)

Awful. A removable hardtop much like the Miata's would have been perfect. Now this looks just like a more svelte BMW M Coupe from the late 90's.

Awful. The Solstice was such a hot car, why screw with it? It was the only respectibly designed exterior Detriot has had lately.
