Ecu Flash Is In!!!!!!!!

Just contacted my dealer and he confirmed that the ECU Flash was in and he was haveing his techs download it..........

The reflash will advance the timing on the ECU which should help the hesitation problem. There are about 40 pages on how it works and dyno charts in the mazdaspeed forum. Read through that and that should answer your questions.

I have a 8:00 AM appointment at John Hine Monday morning to get the hesitation problem fixed along with various other problems i have been putting off.

How long does it take to reflash? Oh and which is the best dealer to get mine done at since I have some mods? (I guess I'll do it when K&N gives my car back!)

If your gonna leave the mods in your car, go to a dealership that you normally would NOT take your car too. That way if something happens later down the line and you you take off the mods to go get it fixed, they won't be like ohh its because you used to have mods.

Just so you know, when I went in with my K&N they put it in the computer under my VIN, and another dealership commented on it later. I think it is a Nation wide system,

Anyone in CA get their msp's flashed yet?

i dropped my car off this morning to get my car flashed. i'm impatiently waiting for them to call me. They were giving me a hard time about it and said they'd have to actually witness the problems in order to flash it. the dumbies...

one of the workers there asked me about the team rife sticker on my windshield and i told them that it makes my car run faster. she said, "cool." :-\

i hope that those that have increased the boost levels from stock dont have a problem with this timing issue. It will increase the chance of detonation earlier in the RPM band for those running higher than stock values.

...just got a call from the dealership. told me that they looked up my VIN and told me that i wasn't on the list of recalls for this ECU upgrade. he also told me that they drove my car for 20-30 min and did not find any problems with the car. it's weird how i've been driving it a lot recently and notice these problems. sometimes worse than others. man, i'm so not happy right now...
i asked him if i just wasted my time bringing it there, and he's like, "yep pretty much. come pick up your car please."

Its not a vin realated issue, they are bullshitting you. You jsut need to COMPLAIN of the hesitation/stumble issue, and they are to flash your pcm.

Hine has it. They were gonna do it on Monday for me, but i cancelled the appointment. I'm gonna wait on the reflash, i might just get the fpr and up the boost and be done with it.
