I purchased an ebay intake from KENDON for an amazing price. Here are the pics. It sounds great, fits perfectly and is extra stable with the larger air filter he gave me. I know I know, Im going this weekend and steel wooling the whole thing to make it shine like new.

the snorkel? Well i figured its directing air directly underneath the air filter. Should it be removed? It is mostly held up by the filter being wedged between the snorkel and coolant tank, I also used some Bend-A-Bracket until I can find a better bracket.

It came with no instructions and this was my first install of a SRI so i just winged it

That top piece is a resonator and you no longer need it with your intake.

I would think wedging the filter between the old resonator and overflow tank isn't the best way to do it. Holes will form in the filter which isn't good.

It looks to long, but maybe once you take out the resonator and mount it with a bracket it will fit better.

That top piece is the Air inlet/snorkle. The resonator is further along the oem intake system... But ya, you don't need it, remove it it's not doing anything useful anymore.

And you need to get a proper bracket of some kind to mount/stabilize that sri. It's not good for it to just be wedged between your stock snorkle and coolant resevior. lol There's plenty of locations and bolts already within the engine bay to mount it to.

I used two L brackets to brace mine:

I also drilled through the hole at the top corner of those brackets and added another screw for stability.

I have mine braced the exact same way with the exact same L bracket using the same bolt on the battery support & the MAF mounting bolts. Nice work :D

ok so that lil black box "resonator" in the middle of the SRI i can remove? And if i use an L bracket, i go from the battery mount, and mount it where on the SRI?

Thanks for all the help guys!

Remove the yellow. Don't remove the red if that's what you were talking about. That's what you mount with. That also houses your mass airflow sensor.

personally I would removed the snorkle (your doing that now) and put the filter on the end of the MAF and remove that stupid curvied pipe between the filter and the MAF.

Don't think it will make a difference either way. lol Definitely not in power. Maybe a little in throttle response but idk...

o ok. lol I have the one the curves in the 2nd half. A little bit farther from the hot air at least... and some air coming from in front of the wheel well.

he can remove the snorkle, relocated the over flow jug and have the filter bend or curve in that direction of where the overflow jug was.

I will play around with it some more this weekend. Got the snorkel out and re mounted it like the other guy showed. Where do you guys usually relocate your overflow to?

I used the same bracket it was already on, as I think many other's have done. Just flip it around backwords or find a place where it will sit comfortably. I have mine flipped above it next to my battery.

I'll snap a pic when I get home from work.
