Ebay Headers

Bought my OBX off ebay. Have been rockin it for 5 years or so without issue..........

theyre supposedly obx knockoffs, some people have no problems, some people have bad welds, its pretty much a gamble. depends if your ok with running a cracked header until you can go to a shop to get it rewelded

+1 and the sellers usually will usually give you a hard time if you want to return the item... and they dont speak english very well... you may want to go with brand name header just to be on the safe side

you're better off hunting around the for sale section and waiting for a used one. itll be better off and you will know if there is any problems with it.

same thing for a mazdaspeed protege?? cuz i cracked mine in a wreck and i was thinkin bout doin the same thing??

I have a set. No problems. It was kind of a pain to put on (with the EGR) but I guess its like that with all the headers.

mine is actually an OBX, came in OBX box, has OBX markings but as always, especially on ebay, buyer be wary............

I put one on 2 months ago to get rid of my leaky cat to j-pipe flange, can't beat $80 shipped. So far so good, I made sure to clean it up before I ran it and it looks real nice in there. I hope no welds break. Getting the EGR on was a MAJOR PITA...I had to use a ratchet strap but it finally went on. I was going to replace the EGR tube with a flexible gas/oven dryer line so all that stress wasn't on the header but when I took the nut off at the header the tube had heat relieved itself and went on and off with ease. Also, the non-fouler 2nd O2 trick didn't work for me but wiring in the resistor and capacitor worked perfectly.

I installed a generic EBay header this past Summer that I bought last year. I leak tested it prior to installation, and it was fine. The welds were ok, the flanges were decent thickness and the manifold flange was flat. The only issue I had was the angle of the outlet was a few degrees off and caused the flange to contact the oilpan. I heated the pipe at a few spots with a propane torch and gently bent it away from the oilpan til I had about 3/4" clearance. Been on there ever since with no issues.
