Ebay Exhaust

No prob, I totally understand. BUT, Did any of your guyz's cars smell really hot after running it for for the first time. Mine smells like its on fire. I checked everything and the bumper clears, the pipe doesnt touch anything all the way down and my motor looks normal, Is this just part of the muffler breaking in?
 
Is it like a rubber, but not rubber smell? Lol bc mine smelled weird, I think it was the gaskets and resonator breaking in

Hi where on ebay you get exhaust..

im from UK and finding an exhaust is hard, buy iv seen some on ebay like all of yous but so many ppl say dont buy etc.
but from what ppl on here have been saying there ok..

Advice welcome plus which supplier you bought from

I believe the person I bought from was like hdc autosports or something like that. Check the pages before this, we said the sellers name a few times
 
I ordered my ebay exhaust even before coming across this thread! Lol I feel a lot better about my purchas now. Should have it installed this week sometime. Ill try to take some pics and vids to add to the collection.
 
Looks great overall especially once you put another tip on there. Does the midpipe and resonator fit exactly like the original piping. I'm looking to match this up with my HKS axle back exhaust. Thx
 
So I installed my ebay exhaust yesterday and I must say, for the price.i am EXTREMELY happy!! Thale hardest part about the install was getting my old rusted out exhaust to come off haha. But the ebay exhaust bolts up just fine and the normal placement of the exhaust is more than doable, however, I am going to do some tweeking and bending of the two hooks on the muffler to get it to sit a little more level and perfectly square in the cutout on the bumper. But for the price you cant beat it!

The sound in my opinion is perfect. My previous vehicle which I have as a backup was a 00 ford ranger with a 4.0 v6. I had a 60 series flowmaster without a tip and that thing was LOUD and the drone during highway speeds was enough to make your teeth fall out! But it was done while I was in highschool and at that time I loved it and also liked that I could set off car alarms with the quick whip of the gas.

The ebay exhaust at highway speeds and cruising is hardly noticable anf is easily covered by the radio at low volume, but when u get on it through the gears it comes to life with a deep sounding tone that in my opinoon is mot ricey at all. There is no raspyness to it at all. In my opinion I think the resonator that comes with the kit is slightly bigger than OEM and does its job perfectly. I wouldnt change anything in this kit except I might paint the tip black as to not draw to much attention to it.

Unfortunately I didnt take any pics during the build cause I was rushed to get my car off the lift and I didnt get amy videos either.

I would recomend this exhaust to anyone on a budget or for someone looking for a not to loud exhaust.

P5mojo, the ebay exhaust 3 piece design is exactly the same shape, length, and bends as the OEM so I do.believe you could easily add a different axle back muffler, to this exhaust.

I'm looking at getting this setup this week. I have a question to those with this exhaust, I know everyone says it isn't that loud unless you really get on it, Which is what I want. But I remember telling people the exhaust on my v8 crown vic wasn't loud but I set off car alarms like it was nobodys business. So i have a 1 year old and i don't want the exhaust to be loud enough to keep her awake or wake her up if she is passed out. I want it to sound nice but if it drones on the highway or is kinda loud but to someone with out kids its not that loud. Do you get what I'm asking? Any help would be awesome
 
It's really not loud. It drones a little, however if you turn the radio up to almost notch 3 (using stock radio as reference) it isn't noticeable at all.
 
Is the drone more of a low hummm or because of our crappy 5th gear is it like waaahahhhahh.
Excuse me if I misspelled any sound effects.
 
It's a low hum. I have an auto and cruise at 3k rpm and it's just a really throaty low sound. No rasp
 
Im sure your kid could sleep through it no problem. If u cruise shift getting up to speed its extrenely quiet. At highway speeds barely noticable. The only way u could get a quieter exhaust is by keeping it stock IMO.
