Ebay CAI

i just ordered my K&N. 5 7/8 in long. I should have it on by this weekend :D
with 2.75" diameter right? I think i'm gonna use the filter it came with until it gets dirty or until I get other things done (like a new grille) and then get a K&N

Oh and to those who have already installed the eBay intake, where do the two identical twisted brackets go? Do they relocated that part that someone was talking about mounting before? And on the lower section of the intake pipe right after the MAF does some sort of sensor plug in there? I want mine installed so much but I don't think I'll have time to before friday :(

The 2 twisties are exactly for what you mentioned... for the sensor that was on the back end of the stock tubing... just mount it somewhere and you'll be cool.

As for the sensor after the MAF, that's the other little connector that was on your stock intake. You just plug it right in! (did yours come with the rubber piece in the hole?)

As for the size... is it a definite that the tube size is 2.75? Where and how much did you get the K&N filter for?

Just got my intake in! It's ricer sweet! I'll install it tonight and get some pics later in the week. :p

hahaha, yeah true... we should put Ebay CAI stickers all over our cars! Should add at least 10hp

What is this speak of removing the bumper to install the air filter... you can't just take off the front wheel and pry the plastic trim off?

Yeah you can do that.... I think when they said removing the bumper, they refer to the plastic cover under the bumper right under the filter location (about 3 bolts). That's what I did... didn't bother taking off the wheel itself.

There are numerous posts on how to do the Injen.. It's the exact same thing. :)
:( aww. well anyways i'm at the point where i need to relocate the coolant reservoir so i guess i'll have to find those how-tos.

I wish I had my camera so I could take a picture for you.. I just took one of the 90 degree twist brackets and mounted it onto one that using one of the extra holes from where the stock intake comes off. I did it last so I could make sure all my intake piping wouldn't interefere.

yeah i'll probably go back and do it, for now i just turned it around and mounted it through one hole on it, it doesn't interfere with any piping.. but now how to i mount that vacuum solenoid thing. .. i'll be going back out to figure that out thanks for all the help
