Well I am sad to say that I got in a wreck with my prized car. I was making a left in an apparently clear intersection when an SUV out of nowhere hit my front end. Unfortunately, it hit the end where all the electrical components are, so my car has been totaled by the insurance company (although they gave me nearly the price we paid new for a 2-year-old car with 17K miles).
While I did walk away with only a minor bruise (thankfully--the other driver walked away too but with much less damage), I will not be getting another Mazda 3 because my parents want me in a bigger car and my dad needs something with better gas mileage. As a result, until I can afford my own car in 2 years, I am stuck driving a 4-year-old Camry with no stick shift and 33% worse fuel economy.
I will probably come hang around every so often but until I buy my next Mazda (which I would definitely do) have fun.
