Red-Eyed MSP

2003.5 MSP
I just dyno'd my car today and figured that it would be cool to figure out true power to weight ratios for the msp and other cars relevant to it. So if you find any dyno results for any stock wrx's, evos, srts, mustangs, gti's, etc...If you you know what kind of dyno was used, please specify (mustang, dynojet). Let's see what we can come up!

Stock boost for him tough, HAS to be about 8psi though, his car pulls way harder than mine and I am at like 6, and this even was before his FMIC hehe...I think those are great numbers though.

shouldnt you be around 190 with that sri and fmic mod?isnt stock msp 170?

170 is at the crank. To the wheels, Id say from high 140's to mid 150's

dont mean to sound dumb, but wuts the difference

when a car company says the MSP has 170 hp they measured it on a bench at the crank. When the engine is put into the car the power must go throught the drive line. By the time it moves the transmission, turns the rotors wheels tires axels, it "looses" horsepower. The idea being that it takes hp to move parts. The more those parts weigh the more hp is "lost" in the translation. The MSP had 170 hp from the facotry then it was dynoed at having (on average) 151hp. This means that it lost 19 hp throught the drive line...... Help at all?

def helped out.im guessing this is for all cars as well.does it vary from car to car of what the "actual" hp of the car is at the wheels.i would imagine not all cars would lose around 19hp,some may be more or less correct?

nah, could be 5 or 6 psi. every car is different and every motor is different and every car reacts differently to different things, etc... if hes at 5 or 6 psi, he just got a good one. my other Mazda is a GGGOOODDD one. woo damn it is...
