Dyno Numbers

There were a lot of things said. Basically, my opinion wasn't valued because I haven't purchased the $5 membership and told I didn't have any say. Also, it was suggested I was getting kick-backs from PE Tuning and hinted about inflated numbers.

I'm not going to get into this again. At the time it was explained why we didn't want to go to PE. As for the other things, life is too short.

Posting s*** like this will only start more stuff, we don't want to bring our internal problems here do we?

"Posting s*** like this will only start more stuff"

Hence my post trying to reconcile a couple posts up.

Hey Scott I don't think you can link directly to your sub folder within your gallery. Try editing your post so that it only links to your member's gallery and then when people go there they can go to the dyno folder.

If we all went to PE for the dyno we would not say our numbers were inflated because it would be the only numbers we would have to work with, and if we went back to PE we would use those same numbers to see our Hp gains. So there would have been no difference. We will all see the same Hp gains as long as we go back to the same dyno.

Give this like a try

Chris - Ever considered a Magnaflow exhaust? The Racing Beat is a little on the loud side as well.

I heard a Racing Beat this past weekend in Canmore and it sounded great. It was on the MP3.

I know I don't like the Mazdaspeed one.

Protege MP3 and Mazdaspeed models - Per Mazda's request, only a rear muffler section was designed for the Protege MP3/Mazdaspeed projects and incorporated an OEM style flange to allow fitment with the stock connecting piping.

Sounds like the Racing Beat on the MP3 is different than the one they offer for the P5.

From what I've read, it seems that Racing Beat redesigned the system for the Protege5 so that it clears the rear bumper (new tip) and made it a CAT back instead of an AXEL back. I would assume that the muffler itself would be the same in both systems.

would anybody be interested in a dyno day in lexington. The guy said if enough of us come we will get a nice grpup discount

Chris - The muffler is the same, however the MP3 uses stock piping size compared to the increased size for the cat-back. Bigger size = more flow = slightly louder. Is it significant enough? Probably not.

all i can say is always go back to the same dyno so you are compairing apples with apples.

and you are right in saying some dynos are accurate, some are not....you should only be compairing your results with your results.

Is that 89whp in Canadian or US HP?:D Oh and by the way here is a real dyno sheet.
