Dyno: [Equinox]

so i guess the kit makes good numbers. good things come to those who wait.

I know its a T3/T4, what are the specs of the turbo though (AR, compressor, stage wheel, trim, TO4 E or B)?

Not sure what we are looking at on this dyno chart. 3th gear and still started the pull at 4,500 rpms. Why did the dyno guy have you do runs like this? Why did he not have you do the pulls in 4th and start around 2,000? I know all you did was dyno the car and that is it. With that type of dyno pull your chart can not be compared to any other runs posted on this forum. Why not SAE. You should ask him why he did the pulls like this. You should also ask him to redo the pulls.

The numbers look good, with tuning your are on your way. He should have done the pulls normal. In 3th gear and starting at 4,500 rpm it will not ever show you know if you have any problem. The car just revs so fast to redline that it will not show most problems. At our dyno event Danas car pulled clean in 3th gear until he hit the maf limit. In 4th gear the car fell all over itself. When Dana gets the maf thing fixed he will be able to tune better and then do a very good 4th gear pull. Then he will find more power across the board not just at peak.

Thanks again

Later..............Nick

The guy at the dyno called me back and wanted to let me know he was pulling from the wrong column of numbers when he gave me my final data, he gaved me a revised version that apparently are 10hp higher as well, talk about cool, it's like tuning without doing anything. Here is teh REAL numbers of my car at the wheels.

STP Corrected Wheel Horse Power / Torque :

216.1 WHP @ 6200 RPM
196.1 WTQ @ 5500 RPM

is this done with stock internals? or forged? nice numbers

I wonder why they started at 4500 rpm's does not make any sense to me.
Also should have pulled in 4th gear not third.

Thats my point, the dyno guy screwed up big time. You cannot use these charts to compare anything. With a 4th gear pull from 2,000-2,500 rpms you may see the car fall on its face and never make the same power. What about the SAE factor?

Again the man paid good money to get his guy dynoed. The dyno guy should redo the runs for you. After all of the problem with the system I am glad to see you are driving it and having fun. Did you get to AFRs on the runs.

Honestly the dyno shop is just getting started, and aren't to experienced. Like most dyno places, they just floor it in 3rd or fourth and look for the highest number.

The guy dyno'd my car in fourth but only went to 5200 RPM on accident and I was making 189 whp, it was still rising and he asked if I wanted to try again, it was I who I didn't want too, the curve looked fine though.

yeah this is on stock internals.

What does the "chp" mean on the dyno chart?

How's the turbo lag, btw?

Also...i guess I missed it...what EMS do you have?

so what do i win reagen, since i had the closest guess or most faith, whichever way you look at it? LOL

Those are great numbers! I'm glad to hear the car is running good.

I'm pretty sure that its a 50 trim t4e or a 54 trim with a .48 stage 5 hot side.
I will check the turbonetics sheet.

Yeah what he said.

Hey Andy, before people call me a ricer for not knowing what kind of intercooler I have, where do you get the cores from?

turbo lag is not too bad, it is prety top end though, but you get there quick =P

chp is correct horsepower, and I have no EMS, just a fuel pressure regulator and the voltage clamp on the ECU from Flyin-Miata
