thanks man!
I got my car back from the shop and installed my new headunit (kenwood kdc-x979) so now, for the first time since last august, my car is fully online and in no-way broken! *knock on wood*

No pun intended....
Its nice to hear you finally got your car back. Its a shame you didn't get a built motor out of it, but I am sure you are loving it.

yep 3 of you guys should already have yours, they went out last week...the fmic one still hasn't left due to the map glitch issue we had...as soon as the new map passes the quality test I'll load and ship it out! by the way we're looking into getting a wrx injector map setup ready to go to help out with the duty cycle problems a lot of you guys are having....give me about 3-4wks and I should be close to having it ready!!!!

Got mine last night and installed it. It feels like a new car. Very good product.

What MAP are you running? FMIC map or stock supermap?

ok i thought I should make a suggestion to those using our afc and upping the boost. In order to safely run 10psi you need to make sure you have the proper mods. So I've made a list of mods that support each different boost level. We've done a lot of testing with each of the mods and feel these are essential to safe boosting:

7psi - stock
8psi - Catback exhaust, CAI, stage colder plugs
9psi - All the above, plus hardpipes, smic, and j-pipe replacement
10psi - all the above plus FMIC, full turbo back exhaust, some form of fuel management (AFC for example)

Attempting to run a boost level above your mods is a sure way to have future problems with your motor and/or turbo. By the way, Luis, this is not directed towards you, it just so happens I received your email when I was writing this...Of course this is based on FL testing, so take it with a grain of salt based on your area and driving conditions...as always if anyone has any questions or wants my opinions feel free to contact me...

A little bit off topic, but what plugs do you prefer for 1 stage colder?

Most of the spark plug threads around here have many opinions regarding plugs, many of which are from reputable people. You can't go wrong with the Densos!

Thanks Boomer....I am to unsure of which ones I want to get. I have seen about 10 different sets that people have used, but I don't know which ones would be best.

I am also going to order up some plugs..

I was either going to get
NGK BKR7EIX-11 (iridium)(1 step colder)
or
Denso IK22 (1 step colder)

But I haven't decided yet

Off topic again...but since were are on the subject.

What are the issues of running a colder plug on stock boost?

This is quoted from BLKzoomzoom
"Colder plugs are a safe gaurd to detonation if you are upping cylinder pressure. If you are stock, stock is better."

SPARK PLUGS
Stock MSP spark plugs are platinum NGK PZFR6F's. Colder, copper spark plugs would be a wise investment if you're upping the boost in your MSP. Detonation (Pre-ignition, where the air/fuel mix in the cylinder burns before being lit by the spark plug) WILL cause damage to the motor. Why copper? Platinum plugs have a sharp tip and don't conduct enough heat away to prevent detonation at boost levels higher than stock. A copper spark plug has a wider tip that conducts heat much better, and may prevent you from messing up your motor.

Then this raises me to this question.....

With my mods by boost went from 5.5psi to about 7psi, no boost controller. Now with 7psi, is it ok to run 1 step colder plug then?
