drivers side window

I was rolling up the drivers side window earlier and I hear a pop and plastic break, then the window stops. It will roll down but will not roll up. What broke that needs to be fixed to get it to roll up again?

Well, I don't know if this may help you or not, but tonite when I changed out my driver's side door mirror and I took the door panel off (which you don't have to take off) and some Styrofoam thingy fell out. I looked at it and it seems to fit somewhere near the doorknob area. Maybe that thing popped in the way (it is loose and not held together by nothing other than the door panel). Hope this helps.

it will be one end of the cable on the window regulator, replacement is the answer.

Proteges have a Plastic regulator, it's definitely broken.
