Dragonballspeed Build (Finding an Identity)

Small Update: Core support completely mounted & ready for welding. Also noticed the steering column support was fully welded in as well as eyebrow gussets in the cage.

definitely keep updating this. been following it and waiting for updates every week haha

especially since so much time, effort, and creativity is going into modifying and building this msp.

Yes please!

A lot of people have build threads and a lot of other people follow them. We just don't always post "Great job!" after every update. But we're still watching. :)

This, I enjoy watching people who actually fab parts and build cars more then seeing people post what stickers they added or what part/car they dipped.

OK thanks guys. I know I get a comment or two every now and again, so I was just seeing if anyone else was still watching. I'll tell you, serious fab work takes a toll on you mentally. Sometimes you have to take a long break just to find the simplest solution.

As for the updates, I'll post a couple of pics that I currently have. And BTW I am going to completly sell all of my cooling system, radiator, intercooler, oil cooler w/brackets, because I just dont like how it complements the new core support. All items are PWR if anyone is interested.

Now on to the pics!!

What will you be doing in terms of cooling?

I will probably get something like an AWR competition radiator, or something similar in size. That would easily fit between the new uprights of the core support and give me the desired tilt I am looking for. I will also have a new oil cooler that sits in the right front tire area and pull air from the fog light cutouts.

Going back to boost is a ways off, so the intercooler is not an issue for now. I've also considered keeping it NA with the KL, so we will see.

Here you go guys, final pics of the completed fab work. The only items left to fab are small tabs and what not for mounting hardware, but that's not very exciting stuff. So on to the real stuff that matters. Door bar dimple plates may be added in a bit later to match the rest of the work, but at $400+ for a 4" dimple die it just wasn't in the cards right now. Anybody got one of these in their shop? I'd be happy to make a template and send it to you.

Finished core support & and it's completely removable with just 8 bolts!

Now to get the dash to fit again and start mounting all the hardward for fitment before paint. Hopefully time will present itself to me in the near future.

looking good. im really anxious to see the final product once its all painted and put together. i dont think ive seen a MSP get this much extensive work done in a while

Couple more photos of her put together before she come all apart again getting ready for paint.

Easily my favorite shot ATM, brake box turned out like expected and the front end body work is hanging on it's own!
