the decision between 2.5" and 3" shoudl be made on power goals with the car. if you want to push more than 250whp(motor build time) I say 3" no doubt. 2.5" will be great for the t25r and stock motor while keeping the exhaust note quiet.
even with the disco potato i would keep the 2.5 inch. I believe that you should keep the piping size at the same size as your exhaust turbine. If its based off a t25 turbine use a 2.5 inch. If you have something t3 or bigger than go with a 3 inch. This will help prevent exhaust buffetting and keep it flowing.
Why not just get the corksport exhaust? It's just about the same as the apex downpipe (except for the bend right at the beginning), and goes all the way back and comes with a muffler. And heres the kicker- only 75 bucks more. It's 2.5".
dont mean to threadjack but if i dont want to get an exhaust because its too much $$ and its also too loud, will a downpipe still be worth the money even though i wont have an exhaust?
