Downpipe and Cabin Noise

I was under the impression I was gonna hear it with my corksport, but nothing. I haven't heard just the dp/rp, but with turbo xs tbe you can hear is pretty nice, at least the revving vids I've seen.... but also, turbo xs tbe is supposed to be the loudest you can go

yeah, right now itd be the DP/RP with the stock exhaust, every resonator is removed, so pretty much 3 inch to 2 and a half straight backk, so maybe, i was looking at getting the complete kit soon though

Those two resos and the muffler are all straight through designs, so there will be little or no power gain in taking those resos off. If you then go with the 3 inch DP/RP and just have that muffler at the very end, there will be a lot of loudness - "arrest me now, Officer Smith" loudness, I would think.

I'm not sure the resos can be removed from the stock exhaust without hacking it up and having to weld or clamp sections of pipe back in place of them. A good performance welding shop can do that, I guess.

Here's a good diagram of the whole exhaust system from SU's web site (I've never bought anything from them).

They would have to be cut out.

For everyone's information, the CS downpipe (catless) and CS mid pipe (catless) together with the stock cat-back exhaust system is NOT annoying on the inside or outside. It's louder than stock, but it doesn't drone or anything like that. I'm really happy with this combination.

I have both the cs downpipe and midpipe, both catless, and outside it isnt annoying, and inside it is liveable to me. Other people who are used to quiet cars have commented that it makes a bit of noise that starts to get on their nerves, or coming home with a headache I wish it made less sound. But over 90% of the time I say yes, it sounds really nice and it completely liveable.

I am thinking about what might happen by adding the quiet vibrant resonator but removing one or two of the factory ones. Wonder if I could get a more aggressive sound at a reasonable volume....... hmmm......
