I have a Mazda CX-5 GTR and the doors autolock too fast after I exit the car. I don't have enough time to walk around to the passenger side to get my stuff out. I would prefer to disable this feature all together but I'm reading I can only lengthen the time it takes for the auto locking to kick in. I can't find directions anywhere. I'm supposed to go to settings but where?
As noted in the images posted above, you have the option to change the length of time that walk away lock engages from 30s to 90s. I wanted to ask, is the car locking faster than 30s? If so, I'm thinking it's because your key fob may be dipping out of the proximity sensors' range, triggering the walk away lock. There is no proximity sensor at the front of the car, so if you walk around the front after closing the driver's side door, it might lock as you pass the side mirror.
Try walking around the back of the car to see if that changes anything.
