Door ajar light

I have a 2008.5 3 4-door. After searching all over the web i couldnt come up with anything. The problem im having is once in a while the light on the gauge cluster will come on, showing me that there is a door open, when in fact every door on a hinge is closed. The part that confuses the hell out of me is that when i step on the brake, it turns off, and then comes back on when i let off the brake.

I was curious if anyone has ever encountered this, or has had any experience with this.
