Dont F#@% with the UHP

i guess it's just a perception thing. But it sure does look low. I know how low sport lines are, I just did a sportline install this weekend on a protege and it's low though.
 
I think it is as low as it looks. here is a picture of mine to compare, i bottom out more often than I would like, so I am sure he has to be way careful

You did get a good drop. As for the Z28, were did you here it was 600 hp? I would like to read what it has had done. I Love the exhaust myself, and the 02SS I saw with it sounds badass.
 
it has an upgraded STS turbo system on it - the piping is not an issue as it is a high way car. Your 3 doesnt bottom out - it hits its bumpstops - way different.

Im kinda tired of your subaru this and subaru that - you have always knocked mazdas and all other cars - you know your subaru needs some serious upgrades for it to be able to corner like an MSP right? The only one that can match and better it is an STi


The Camaro (much as I hate to admit it ) would school your scooby off an off ramp - not to mention I can guarantee that trooper has a LOT better driving skills than you have.

uhhh...just becouse mazda had a flop w/ the protege doesnt mean i have to like it.
I talked to the service manager at D. Dhale. and this year thay had to replace over a 1/2 dozen engines for the same reason as mine. Spun bearings. and all of them where under waranty.
Another thing. Yeah the STi is a cool car. but the older imprezas are actaly a little better. They weigh in at about 400LBS less. and can have the same engine put into them as the new STi has. And as for handaling. Nothing a set of struts and springs cant fix. And if you want to get serious, just slap on some coilovers.
And the MSP is no speed moster. PPl have a hard time laying over 300WHP in one without putting MAJOR money into the cars. Subarus are only an engine swap away. Ppl w/ mazdas need to have drag slics and a big turbo to even hit high 12's. Where a simple swap(for under 2K) will put a subaru in the low 13's. and about 500more dollars and your in the 12's.
also its nice to be able to hit the gas when you have over 200WHP and not spin the tires like you do w/ FWD cars.
Another reason is that driving in bad weather conditions is fun. unlike other cars where its just a PITA.

o yeah. and if i remember you where all about the POS SVT contours. and now your all about some old volvos(i saw the video you posted about one a while ago, and as cool as it is you could easily do the same thing to an S13 for fraction of the cost)

And why you raging on my driving skills. Come out to E-Center on 4th of Sept. autoX and put your money where your mouth is. unless you got sabath or something.

And one more thing. why would you want a 600WHP Domestic. Yeah its fun to hit the gas on the freeway and all. But there is more to cars then just going in a straight like....

one more thing. when was the last time your realized your where not all that and a bucket of cheeses....(fuoops)

o yeah one more thing. The track is opening up soon. So ill see your PUSSY ass out there next season, and ill show you what a little subaru wagon can do, with my "crappy" driving skills.. Unless you come up with some BS excuse on why you cant make it out.

A few things I want to say. I am not dissing subaru in ANY way first of all, I respect them highly. However, my friend drives a WRX and has looked into engine swaps and stuff for an STi engine. under 2k? :bs: The cheapest he has seen is like $4500 for the engine. Also, he has read numerous things about the transmission in a WRX getting shot with as little as about 250whp. SO with the new engine you will need a new transmission. Now you are getting into the same dollar figures as mazda modders. Plus, you still arent cornering like we are. And I hate to break it to you, but a simple set of shocks and springs wont cure your suspension woes. there are many more components, another few grand in suspension. And unless you have all the time and tools for all this: a new engine, transmission, and suspension--you are looking easily at a few thousand in labor. So after those three upgrades, you can be over 10k in upgrades.
And about the SVT contours....my cousins husband has an SVT contour with over 400whp. Want me to set up a race for you and him?

amen to that. I never said I could auto X - I never have in my life. I never said I was michael shumy, your assuming because I said som random HP trooper has better driving skills than you (and i KNOW he does ) that i do as well; well, when did I say that? I can tell you from personal experience that an MSP is better in corners than a suspension modded rex - especially a wagon as a good friend has one. He also has a Turbo 3L SVT Contour which your ignorance doenst quite seem to grasp also handles better than your car and is quite a bit faster. As for old Volvos, I never said that they were all that and a bucket of cheese, I just like them, cant explain why, maybe its because asshats like yourself think of them as old boxes on wheels. My Volvo wont be fast anytime soon, I just dont care enough to spend the money right now, I have a degree to finish.

So, executive summary: I dont know who you were posting about, because that person must have deleted their post because I fail to see any comparison to what I posted.

well the WRX is a waist of money if you plan on modding it past a stock turbo.
Im doing an OBDI car, so i can use an older engine. and about the price...well its all about who you know ;)(its nice to have ppl go to japan for you).
The stock WRX trannys suck. ive been in 2 cars that have blowns them while i was riding in them. The stock WRX bottom end sucks as well.
O yeah and about the cost. im hoping to be around 4-4.5K for my car, this includes, 260hp engine(that can easily be moded),JDM tranny, rear LSD rear end , the car itself, Spring, shocks, tophats, bigger brakes all around, rims, ect. So for themoney it will an awsome car. And as mutch as i hate to say it, my MP5 couldnt even compare to my new wagons handaling. one the MP5 the initial turn in and hold was a little better, but once you start to drive hard the P5 would just understear like crazy. And with the P5 you couldnt power under corners. So you would have to hall ass into a croner and hope your going fast enoughf for it. with AWD you just feed it gas all the way thrue and the car will actualy accelerate thrue the corner.

and i dont need to chill, i just thing that the cock sucker w/ the volvo needs to stop raggin. ;)
 
also dont be trying to set up races with cars that YOU dont even own. Just becoue you know someone w/ a fast car doenst meen its yours and that they will suport your argument. a good buddy of myne has a mid 11's STi, but you dont see me trying to set him up w/ your MP5. get real.
on the side note, what the most anyone has gotten out of a stock FS-DE w/o blowing it up? 250whp? becoue i know that the engine in stock form likes to spin bearing like they are skittles.

I fail to see why the focus platform in your mind is such a horrible idea. Maybe its all the others in the world who dont know what they are talking about, maybe its all the other car makers who are mistakenly trying to design car to better the focus when its not such a good platform . . .
