Does your MS3 like the cold?

Wow, people keep talking about squeaks and rattles on their ms3 that I have never experience on mine. I passed 9k miles a few days ago, and it feels like the day I got it. An I do drive hard as hell most of the time.

So far so good with mine. It is usally pretty cold here 25f-0f range. Starts right away, no squeeking.

My car runs like crap in less than thirty degree weather. Was happy when the temp got back into the sixties. Engine tuning really appears to work best near sixty.

cold weather problem solved.(silly)

What is this supposed to be? I don't get it.

first pic is electrical heat trace wire, you plug it in and it gets warm (rated at xxx watts per foot with max temp of xx*F depending on your requirements), it is used on piping to stop products from freezing. The idea that it could be used on a car to keep it warm is plausible but more silly than anything. I certainly wouldnt ever do it but the principle is the same as an engine block heater.
