Does anyone Know the min. Tire wear?

I want to use my tires some more but am trying to find some info. Does anyone know the minimum SAFE tire tread left before you have to change out tire. I tried search but no luck. When new they are 10/32nd's deep.

2/32S Is the minimum safe tread depth but i can tell you from experience that if you question it, change it.

and to check (somebody correct me if i am wrong):
stick a penny president's head down into the groove of the tire. if you can see the top of the head then you should change the tires.

YOU are correct...that is the standard accepted home test for LEGAL tread depth.....but I will tell you....with only that much tread depth...if its raining out....you better slow your ass down!

oh yes, totally agree. I have way more than 2/32nds and tires spin VERY easily in the rain.
