umm well this might be a stupid question to ask but like where did u guys get ur HID's? did u get it online?or did u get it from a performance shop? lol we live on an island so shippin from the states a kinda expensive.i dont really like to use credit cards either for like paypal.haha also how do u guys like ur HID's?i really want that cool blue effect wit out burning through so many stupid bulbs.thanks for the input in advance xD

nah, HID's are somewhat legal now. you can pass recon with them, just as long as it isn't too high on the kelvin scale (aka not super bright). i had HID's on my P5 and I had no problem with the cops whatsoever. i've been pulled over before with them (not because of them) and i've never been asked about it. it's hard to be caught because it's not only found stock on bmw's and benz's. they're everywhere.

if you feel somewhat sceptical with legal issues, i'd say go with an 8k kit at the most. i had a 10k kit and i thought it was bad ass. talk about lighting up the road. just ask justin (808pro) i sold him my kit.

try check out vakamon motorsports. i seen they were carrying HID kits. if they don't have it in stock, they can get it for you pretty quickly. i think there kits were running around $400??? it's been so long, i forget already.

Some guys have been getting nailed this past year for HIDs that weren't even that strong.

pretty much any HID kit higher than 6k will give a blue effect. 5k and below is what most imports use in they're HID's these days. my 10k was more like white with a hint of blue if you look at it head on. from the side it looked white as can be. bright as hell...but still white. if you think it's too much for you, black out your headlights. the chrome housing enchances it. the black housing takes some if it away.

i guess cop issues may also depend whatelse is also done to your car. I had absolutly no problems going anywhere with my car. slammed to the ground, rims, aftermarket body parts, etc. and yes...this does include waikiki. if you try putting HID's into your PRE-2000 car. it better be something highend like a lexus, bmw or someshit. idiots who put 12k kits into they're 95 civic is asking for trouble.

i say run whatever you want. it's your ride. just keep in mind the pro's and cons of getting them. if you don't give a rat's ass, go as bright as you want.

yeah its really nice. with the black housings it contains the beam more than if u were to run the chrome housings. but as far as cops go i havent gotten any heat and i was riding along side them a few times. :knocks on wood:
