Quick quality story. I heard this was told by a former Chrysler VP to a trade group a few years back.

He said when he was at Chrysler, they heard that Lexus used to pick a car off the assembly line, and lock a cat in it overnight. If they came back in the morning and the cat was dead, they knew the car was airtight and they had built it right.

So they decided to do the same thing at Chrysler. They picked a car off the assembly line and locked a cat inside. In the morning, the cat was gone.

I'll tell you guys one thing, I used to install stereo, phones and other things and the interior of the big three were junk. Not looks wise ( well that too ) but just cheap clips that never fit right, large spaces that didn't match up. It was unreal.

Japanese are king of quality.

Why do you think Toyota is still selling vehicles that cost more money, and the Big Three can't give them away.

It's the cowboy attitude versus the sit down and plan for quality attitude. Which one would you spend your hard earned money on? I know it is hard to take, but japan is kicking our ass.

any one heard of lean manufactoring? And not all japanese car companies are king of quality. They maybe now, but I don't see all the Japanese car company at the top of initial quality in JD Powers for example.

Dude the new lines of dodge rock! I love the SRT lines, they are insane, super road and track baby!!!(I think that is what it stands for )

SRT 4 SRT 8 SRT 10, they all rock baby. I wonder what the Viper SRT is called. I always heard rumor of a Twin Turbo SRT 6 stratus!! Now that would be nuts!
