Dodge says CX-5 is the only Hornet's competitor

Audi has a line of e-tron vehicles which means stool, pooh or s**t in slang French (étron) o_O
"Citroen" is toward the top of my list of bad names. an entire brand not just one model. The name of this French branch looks and sounds like the French word "citron" which means "lemon".

By the way. somebody still needs to explain how an MX- can be both a two seat sports car and a sub-compact crossover EV. ;)

Citroën is the family name of the founder...Doesn't sound as good as Dodge, Ford or Chevrolet!

…After all here we have the Renault/Dacia Duster recycling the 70s Plymouth name. Of course in the 70s the name meant it would "dust off" the competition….

Actually the origin of the 1970s Duster name was a bit more interesting than that. Plymouth had used the Warner Brothers-owned name Road Runner for their mid-sized coupes and wanted to use the Tasmanian Devil name for the Duster. Apparently the two firms could not reach a licensing agreement, so Plymouth used the Duster name instead. From the photos below you can see how Plymouth had the last laugh.

An interesting comparison..although it must be the base Hornet. The performance version has legit factory performance hardware.
