i need a new clutch and im looking to replace it myself. i have the knowledge and the tools. thats not teh problem. im just wondering how hard it will actually be to do in my driveway. could it be done in a day? by myself and a person with an equal amount of knowledge? we are both mechanics. jacks and jackstands?

thanks,
Jim

im jk, im just not that good at working on cars. im sure it would be easier a second time. u should be fine, just set aside a few weeks of hard labor and sweat, tears, blood.

im doing a clutch replacement as well but my engine is out so it will be a blast! My question is, the instructions tell me to put high melting point lube on the splines, do i really need to do this? I want to make sure everything is done right putting it back together so I'm just making sure.

EDIT: Yes you do have to put grease on the splines otherwise your clutch disc will not slide smoothly and may not disengage properly. Putting a clutch on is easy once the tranny is off! Even easier when the engine is out as in my case!
