ok heres my problem, i've got a sport ms3, its a car that was totalled (front end damage, very light the bags didnt deploy) now its all ready, the h/u was stolen from the car, and the only h/u that i could find was one from a gt, i got it and installed it and sure enough because i dont have the amp, i can barely hear sound when the volume is at max level. Is there an easy fix for that? I have acces to the gt that the h/u came from (junk yard) but from my brief looking at the wiring diagram of the ms3 yesterday, the harness for the amp and sub is part of the car harness, and i aint changing the whole harness, anybody got suggestions? if i get the sub and amp and plugs for them could i quickly make a custom harness for them? would buying an aftermaket amp be the best way out? cluelessss right now thanks!

Aftermarket head unit would probably be easy and or an after market amp. I wouldnt waste my time with the Bose amp, I have a GT and the bose system isnt worth your time. Just get and amp and call it good, imo.

i want to keep the original h/u, i want to keep the stock look in the car, would an amp fit behind the dash, if not i will have to route alot of wires underneath the seat, not crazy about that. I'm kinda pissed right now, because i'm in canada and over here we only get one version of the car hence the gt minus the leather seats. I was really pissed when i found out the car didnt have the hid's..... again i'd have to change the whole harness, way too mutch trouble, and no way im gutting the stock harness to put jobber hid's Can someone explain to me how this h/u works, i mean lets say you take the non bose h/u and put an amp on it. Its going to be stronger, now lets say i put an amp on my bose h/u that has almost zero sound now, whats it going to do? just sound like a non bose h/u? confused here, thanks

On a sport, the speaker connections are made behind the headunit. The headunit amplifies the signal to drive the speakers.

The "Bose" headunit outputs a lower voltage that gets sent to the Bose amplifier. This amp is mounted under the driver's seat. The speaker connections are made under the seat.

So, the wiring connections are in completely different places for the two cars. Either way, you will need an amplifier and to route new wiring.

You could experiment with wiring harness adapters that are typically used for wiring aftermarket headunits to factory wiring. Typically Metra has both female and male versions of the car's radio harness available.
