well i think im going for a jasper engine...Its 3 grand but with a 3 year 100,000 mile warranty. Which i will probably hit that 100,000 first, so im tinking it will be worth it.
just get a 2.0 longblock and swap everything over. replace water pump and timing belt. and get a 03 transmission cause i think theirs came with better syncros.
depends on price really, but if I was to find something for a good price on say like a used engine with 20k miles for 300 hundred dollars. I would do that over rebuilt. remanufactured pretty much means the same thing, but i think that is only for the block no head.

i think i'm leaning towards used.. because of price and what i can find around here... and so far i've found only two auto's and one has 30,000 mi for $750 (30 day warranty) and the other has 55,000 mi for $650 (1yr parts and labor warrranty)
