I had a p5 before my MSP I would've kept and turboed it but my friends kept making comments that i drove a wagon, but also one of my friends hit a curb and bent my suspension all to hell. Would've been 2 1/2 thousand just for parts to fix it, so i traded it, dealer didn't even drive car to see it was ****** up. bend in the rack and pinion, i paid a little to fix it enuff to drive

One car running a 14 and one running a 12, even with the same trap, from a dig, wont even be close to each other. Even from a low speed roll, I don't see your point. Because two cars hit a certain point at the same speed does not mean they are equally as fast.

After reading ALL of this, there is one thing that comes to mind.

Racing from a stop shows driver ability...
Racing from a roll shows vehicle ability...

True, but not entirely fair. Some cars have poor motor mounts and tires that make launching a very harsh task.

My civic was a damn turd in the 1/8th, then it just took off. The Protege feels better in the 1/8th than my Civic did when it was stock. There's so much to account for in drag...gearing and stuff, even if you assume 60 foots being equal for all cars.

<~~civic is slow in the 1/8th and quarter....The protege probably feels stronger because of the torque and short gearing.

well the first page of this thread started out ok. not too much flame, but matty took care of that in a hurry. this thread started with good intentions and soon went to crap cause one guy wants proof he is never gonna get, but continues to cause problems and state stuff that doesn't mean s*** to anyone. who gives a damn about how many homes or cars one has. the point is that the MSP is not a good launcher due to tires and mounts. fix that and discreet and any other decent driver with those mods will run lower times and probably higher TS than 105. this is an INTERNET forum anything said here can be considered true or false. take what you want to believe and leave the rest.

thats sad you beat a 305hp car.....mainly because you're lying out your ass. Those cars run 12.9's spinning the tires the whole way. I know because I almost bought one. also, read the reviews. You went up against a flunkie driver IF you're not lying. I'm talking about the driver and the car here at the same time....this guy claims to be good and his car fast....put it on a track and lets see how it turns out.

you're a dumbass if you think a mach 1 will run 12.9s spinning the tires...that car tested by motor trend runs a 13.8 @ 102.5...just a little slower...key words: mustangs suck.
