well... not really... DSG kicks ass...Hmmm, DSG or a real manual... eeeeasy choice.
there is a chance I would need to get auto that's why I see only Gti/R32 (from what I like); DSG is great - this is actually the only auto (if you can call it that way) tranny I would consider. I test drove GTI with both stick/DSG - stick was more fun but DSG was freaking fast shifting and having sport mode you can hold it on lower gear as much as you want (not that you want since 2.0t is pretty torqueeeee too)Hrm... I like the MKIV R32 better than the MKV, only for the fact that it comes in a traditional manual.
Pros? Better launch, awesome exhaust note: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Du2LgH2dxAo
Cons? Heavy, pricey, still not as quick as the cheaper MS3
I really like them, never considered one though... (although I was soooo close to getting a GTI instead).
I was always a stick guy.. I hear ya.. and I don't mind playing with MS3..I honestly like shifting the gears myself. I don't care how high-tech and quick DSG is, I'll take a traditional stick any day.
So you are looking for an auto/dsg or whatever car?
I wish ))What about an evo x mr? Lol
Has awd, more power, its own version of dsg, and way lighter than an r32. Just another option.
GL with choosing
never drove smg.. only e46 m3 on stick.. freaking faastIf you miss rwd, what about an older M3 with its smg tranny
Lastly, exhaust note on the MKIV/V R32 is SEX! One of the best sounding 6-cyls out there currently. If I could listen to that exhaust note everyday of my life, I would never need a gf again.
Ugh, brings me back memories of my 24V VR6, it sounded great. I didn't even have anything done to it, but I loved the stock sound.
