Dec. 4 Champion of Champions @ GCFG

Today was awesome with the fun runs...
I had to make an emergency run to the gas station during the middle of the whole thing.

now, I have to deal with the broken stud on the rear right.. meh..

I was wondering what u were taking a picture of this morning. Luke pointed it out when we went to get food. It's good for, you know, when u get in a jam, and need an emergecy pair...

Sorry I didn't make it out today guys. I felt like crap last night and today. Still don't feel 100%. Glad the weather held out.

God you suck.

The Lotus 7 had some crazy rooster tails this morning when it was still wet. Sweet sight.

It was really cool to watch that thing. It (just like most every1 else) was getting crazy sideways in the wet.

I really hate driving in the rain/wet. It comes down to lack of practice in the conditions, but it still sucks. Thankfully, it dried up quite a bit before our run.

I had a great time racing today! I love running on a wet track. Thanks again to Kevin for the tips. I soooo need to go to autocross school!

I also noticed the TIT LOANS sign on my way there, but by the time anyone I knew was there I'd forgotten about it. So sleepy.

I got home shortly after Dru reclaimed the kid from the neighbor. We all had lunch, and fortunately for me, the kid took a nap shortly thereafter, and so did I. I slept from around 2:30 'til about 5:30. It's the only reason I'm even remotely able to think straight now. I was so tired on the drive home that I was a bit worried about dozing off on 316!

I WON HS! w0ot Wo0t! (thumb)

man I sure hope no one notices I ran uncontested....

yeah, apparently, there were some of Chris's friends there. They all wanted a ride in the "dreeft machine." It was fun, but ended up thrashing my street tires. Oh well. I had a lot of fun

Driving Kevin's Miata was a sobering experience. I thought I was a decent driver, but after driving that, I realized I am a suxor racer. RWD is sooo different from FWD. My car just felt a lot more predictable than the RWD. I guess I'll need more practice.

Naa, you don't suck. It's all in car setup and one's preference....I just like it a bit loose (I foresee another quote in Luke's sig). IMO, it makes the car a bit more tossable.

PAX Results:

19 Kevin Boswell CSP Miata 44.790 +3.932
28 Eric Miller STS Protege 46.226 +5.368
45 Andrew Maff HS Pro5 49.247 +8.389
49 Luke Miller CSP Miata 50.332 +9.474
60 Chris Tyre TO ProtegeLX 55.843 +14.985

I guess they don't really PAX "Time Only" results in a meaningful way. Chris, you should have run in class, your actual time beat mine!

What class is your car, FSP like Luke's? Does anyone know what his PAX time would have been?

I'm so bummed that I couldn't stick around for fun runs. How many did you guys get?

Oh well, at least I got to race! :D

Ya, that's what I told him! Good job Eric, that's not a bad result...at least, I don't think it is, so take that how u want lol

You know, I'm pretty damned happy with that result. 3rd autocross in the Protege, didn't play with tire pressure at all, #28 out of 66, I'll take it.

When I raced mountain bikes, I was always happy if I was in the front half of the pack. I had a few top 15's and even less top 10's (out of ~50 person fields), but I was pretty much always in the top half, and that's enough for me!

I'd be psyched about smoking Luke like I did if he'd been in his own car, but there's no honor in mocking him for not being in top form in an unfamiliar (un-Familia?) car.

It would be in FSP if I kept the interior in it... atleast I think it would be.
I got about 7 extra runs during the fun runs including the 7 minute trip to the gas station.
I pulled my time down to a 52.something during the fun runs and never really got a 100% perfect run.
