Debating Corksport FMIC

Strongly considering the Corksport FMIC however have some questions.

1) I know I cannot use my existing CAI, but can I still use my Forge BPV?

2) Any Dyno numbers with this kit?

I am not trying to take over, but what are your future goals? Is this the icing on the cake or the start of a huge build?

Also, I know for sure you can use your CAI and forge with the kit I'm getting from mazda3mods. Shipped to my house for $772. Can't beat that. About to start taking payment on the group buy. Link under my sig, check it out!!!

FMIC is my next mod, and then Downpipe, Manifold, and Exhaust, and then I am done. I like the Corksport FMIC for the simple fact that the engine cover remains somewhat intact, and the Ram-Air system.

I liked that too, and then realized its like an extra $400 since I already had an intake. Also since its the Cobb SRI, I can upgrade to an accessport if I want to.

you don't have to have COBB specific hardware for their AP. The tunes are very generous towards other mods. $400 more for the kit than yours. You go buy an inlet pipe and cai for $400. That's right you can't. Seems like everybody is jumping on these " put together" kits and the group buys. I'm not knocking them. But the only FMIC kits out that I would buy right now are the Corksport, The CPE, or the COBB. You pay a little more but you get what you pay for. You will figure that out later when you change your mind with your mods.

yeah, you'' have to sell your CAI, and that one guy thread jacks EVERY FMIC thread and starts talking about that el cheapo kit. corksport has been modifying mazdas for MANY MANY years, i trust them and it is the kit that i'm going with, one reason why i sold my cobb SRI for more than what a i paid ha ha

By "that guy" you mean me?? What can I say, I have nothing better to do than scan the forums and all I am doing is offering an alternative to all the big name companies.

I am not debating that corksport makes a nice kit. Hell, if the group buy didn't come around, I would probably be counting my pennies and waiting for the corksport kit. If you can show me some major flaw in the kit I'm going to buy, please show me, I want to know if there is something unreliable going on my car. So far I cannot see any major flaws.

I would love to get a corksport kit, looks sexy! Then I'd sell my Mazdaspeed cold air intake to get some money back.
