Deal's Gap meet April 20-22

There is a DG meet being held on this weekend. It's originally a rotary meet, but a friend and i may be taking control of the meet and if we do we are looking to switch it up a little bit. I attended last year with a friend in his MSP and he was warmly welcomed and it was a blast. this year im hoping to make the event even bigger and hopefully with more of a protege turnout. as of now im just testing interests. more details and information will be up soon.

That's a shame as I went up there with the Evo///GA group in October of 2005 and I had an absolute blast. (The stories I could tell...) Fontana Village is a great little resort and the cabins are really nice. Let me know too. I might go up if I can get the time off.

i cant say anymore until im 100% sure we will be the ones in charge of the event. if we arent ill have to run it by the people who are if they want to keep it all rotary or let the proteges in on it. hopefully we will be the ones running the show.

last year we stayed at fontana village. this year we may be doing the same but we are exploring all possibilities. thats if we are in charge, if we arent itll definately be fontana village.

ill keep you guys posted. i wont know until after the weekend who will be in control.

When were you last there? Hey, this cabin had two bedrooms, a fridge and cable... what else do you need?

i was there w/ the Subies in (i think '02). i remember our friend's cabin had cobwebs up in the ceiling. we stayed in the lodge, and the wallpaper was falling. but the only other choice was the biker motel, so....

Yeah, they have been upgraded... My cabin was clean and neat and the bedding was clean and fresh also. The kitchen was also equipped, though not stocked of course.

It's like a 10 Minute roller coaster ride. When I went in October 2005 I took the Evo up and did 3 roundtrip runs. 3 out and 3 back. What an absolute blast. It was worth the drive from Miami!

well fellas. i posted on our forum that they needed to decide who was going to be in control or i needed to know about enviting other cars, proteges mostly. the guy he offered it to initially i think is going to try to take over and he said he didnt want anything nonrotary. i think its dumb, but thats me. my buddies with a MSP and a built 03' ES (motec, high comp engine, etc) will be coming.

maybe you guys should go the weekend before since it appears there will already be a protege meet that weekend.

i have discussed with a few guys about having another meet during the summer. i had full intentions to do so until thursday i was informed i have to undergo a surgery aroundmay-june thatll put me out for 3 months and i just hope to be recooperated in time to go to college in the fall. ill try to change things but i dont know how much i can pursued them. if not ill still try to get a larger "mazda" meet later this year or for sure next year.

Just let us know what the date is for the rotary meet. I work every other weekend so if I can't male one I'll make the other hopefully.
